Technology of Lathe and Automatic Lines Metal Processing and Manufacture Management

The faculty consists of two departments:

  • Technology of lathe and automatic lines metal processing;
  • Manufacture management;

The history of the faculty began with the foundation of Konotop Electromechanic School in 1980. It was subordinate to Ministry of coal industry of USSR.  Alexander Belyayev was appointed the dean of the faculty.   Since 1980, the students of the faculty could get education at the evening department of the faculty. The full-time instruction has been possible since 1982.
The staff of the department consists of highly professional specialists whose life had been connected with industrial production.  They have created the atmosphere of concernment, technical creative work; taught the students to be confident and proud of the School and the chosen profession. 
The teaching staff has made the studies closer to the production conditions; encouraged independent thinking of the students, ability to persist in their opinion. 
Industrial practice, construction detachments, numerous excursions and trips have made the students a firm group of like-minded people, closer to each other and the teaching staff.
In 1999, when the Faculty had already become the part of Polytechnic School, K. Halak, the dean of the faculty, initiated the opening of the department “Manufacture Management”.
The problem of manager training remains topical nowadays in the country.  Speciality “Manufacture Management” satisfies the demand of the industrial sector of the national economy.
The students of the department get specialized economic education together with technical knowledge and opportunity for self-actualization.  Participation in conferences gives chance to demonstrate personal vision of solving particular problems of economics, project economic processes, and  forecast further course of them.
The faculty keeps implementing up-to-date innovative technologies of studying, which increase competitiveness of the graduates.
The graduates of the faculty worked in different factories of coal industry in Donbas, Tomsk, and others. Today, the faculty trains specialists for the needs of city and region works.
After theoretical course, students have to consolidate their studying achievements in practice. Industrial practice takes place in leading enterprises of the city and region.
